Slow drousy day today. i didn’t even stay out late last night, in by 330am and curled up in my fluffy chair. I like it there, get lots of scratches behind my ears when Alpha Male checks in on me. So of course I have to purr a little for him which he thinks it really cool, like I like him or something. Takes so little encouragement for him to come back and give me more attention, what a push-over!
So much to catch up on…I know it’s been a few months since the last post, but the best is yet to come. The highlight of this last week was my bird that I caught and brought into Mooshy Mama. It was a great dove, but Mooshy Mama made Alpha Male take it outside when I wasn’t looking. They could have told me, I could smell it but couldn’t find it…making me crazy!!! I worked so hard to catch the darn thing as a gift and it gets discarded behind my back. Same thing happens when I bring in lizards. I let them go so I can chase them, you know they are like wind-up toys, then they hide under the couch or table and I have to keep watch or they get caught up by Alpha Male and taken back outside. I found out today that one of my lizards actually crawled into Moosy Mama’s printer and died there! It had laid eggs and everything but when Mooshy Mama tried to make copies, the feeder kept getting jammed. Low and behold the lizard was stuck in the feeder…GROSS!!! That is not good news for me, they are going to keep a tight watch on me from now on.
What a day! I am tired out…getting up too early to head outside, like 4am! Mooshy Mama and Alpha Male have had enough of me waking them at 4am with my little chatter…they squirted me with water this morning and told me to go back to bed. Of all things, I have heard it all now. They think they can train me to sleep in until a more civilized hour, like sunrise at least or when the birds start chirping. We’ll see about that tomorrow. Sweet dreams!
I really like getting roughed up. Each night Alpha Male wrestles with me, it’s really fun! He bounces me, rolls me around, tosses me across the floor like a bowling ball…I keep coming back for more, more, more. When I finally collapse at his feet, he knows I’ve had enough!
It’s so windy outside, I don’t know why I jump everytime something moves, just like a fraidy cat!
What a great day so far! Mooshy Mama fed me tuna and now the unsuspecting Alpha Male, with a little coaxing will feed me again! Got to go outside to sniff around after the morning rain, so many smells and little crawly things…do I stay in for more tuna, go outside and chase things, what’s a kitty to do? Pretty soon it will time for my 4 hour nap.
Good meowing! Busy this morning stalking a gecko. He looks familiar, missing his tail and all. I must have caught him before…poor guy! Now he’s back, got me on his tail again.Oh yea, HE HAS NO TAIL! LOL!
I wonder why my pea brain works this way…at night Alpha Male takes me in to say g’night to Mooshy Mama. He drops me on the bed, she pets me a little, then I get antsy and get away. No matter where I am on the bed, I always jump off from the same corner. How weird is that?
Now, my dear Annie is worried that I might catch more birds. Why not, I meow? Would you deprive me of the thrill of the hunt, the feel of feathers in my mouth, the taste of fresh meat? Next catch, though, I have to remember NOT to take it in the house. Alpha Male will take it away from me again. I can still smell the little birdie, and am a bit peeved that it was taken away. In my dreams, I am the great hunter, master of my domain!
OMG, my new year started out with catching my first BIRD!!! I was out on my lease like normal, keeping quite and glancing around, then…I spotted it, an unsuspecting creature within reach. Holy cat whiskers, I couldn’t believe it. I creeped up, slowly, slowly, and BAM! I caught it! so what’s a kitty to do with his first catch? Duhuh, show Mooshy Mama! With warm bird in mouth, I sauntered into the house and whadayaknow, Alpha Male spotted me sneaking in with my trophy. What a moment…Happy New Year everyone, I hope you all catch the bird of your dreams!
